Website Pricing

Website Pricing
website pricing

Website Pricing should always be done per project.  One of the hardest concepts that we, the consumers, have is not knowing how much a project is going to cost.  In our books there are 3 types of websites: Blog, Informational, and E-Commerce Websites.  Informational websites are great for getting your company or small business information onto the online community.  E-commerce websites come in a variety of styles: just items to be sold, a little about the company plus store, downloadable music or books, and much more.  TWS also builds custom HTML websites.  Blog websites are considered to be more personal websites, in which you may write a blog, do a fundraiser, and many more options. Thompson's guarantees that your site will be a one of a kind.  We focus on building a website that fits specific needs that you specify for your business or personal goals.  Every website can be added onto at a later time as well. Below is a pricing guide, this gives an idea as every project is different.  For pricing, it is recommended that you contact us through our website, email us at thompsonswebservice@gmail.com, or please call us at 252-373-5213.

E-Commerce Website:

E-Commerce Site:

"Electronic commerce or eCommerce is a term for any type of business, or commercial transaction, that involves the transfer of information across the Internet. It covers a range of different types of businesses, from consumer based retail sites, through auction or music sites, to business exchanges trading goods and services between corporations. It is currently one of the most important aspects of the Internet to emerge.

Ecommerce allows consumers to electronically exchange goods and services with no barriers of time or distance. Electronic commerce has expanded rapidly over the past five years and is predicted to continue at this rate, or even accelerate. In the near future the boundaries between "conventional" and "electronic" commerce will become increasingly blurred as more and more businesses move sections of their operations onto the Internet." Monthly Maintenance Plan:

Maintenance of just the website in itself can be a lot of work, as well as very detailed and intricate. Below are the recommendations of maintenance plan.  This does not include your SEO maintenance.

Maintenance Plans:

Blog Website  - Bronze Maintenance Plan - $

Informational - Gold Maintenance Plan or Platinum Maintenance Plan - $$

E-Commerce - Platinum Maintenance Plan - $$$

Unlimited Plan - Includes unlimited changes - 24/7 - up to 10 products changed out - $$$$

What is included in Monthly Maintenance Plan?

  • Making sure your content is clean and updated.
    • Policy Pages, Terms & Conditions, Terms of Service
Legal issues could arise if policies and terms pages are not adequately updated to reflect the latest company standards and procedures. Reviewing these types of documents that appear on your website or in your web application should be a regular part of your maintenance routine.
    • Software Documentation
Documentation associated with a product or service may also become out of date with new releases or bug fixes. Where time allows, your maintenance routine may also include regular additions and modifications to documentation, whether they appear online or in downloadable format.
    • Contracts
The services your company provides may require agreement to services between both parties by means of a legal contract. Is this document up to date, reflecting the latest company policies and standards?
    • Keep Your Blog Clean
If you are engaging your readers to participate in discussions on your blog, make sure that your posts do not contain spam comments. For instance, at the very least, regularly go through popular posts to manually remove comments that lead to suspicious sites. It’s also necessary to analyze tags that you’ve used. Some tags could be altered or modified to better reflect the topic, maybe because of a singular or plural rendering, or because of a misspelled word. You could also reconsider your tagging system and come up with a style guide that describes your process of tagging posts, which would improve future tagging and tag maintenance. You might also want to close comments on popular posts to avoid spam and link dropping.
  • Repairs, Fixes, and Upgrades
    • Updating Plugins - WordPress is one of the most widely used blogging frameworks, and it is used revalently as a multi-featured content management system. Since there are thousands of WordPress plugins available, there are also bound to be hundreds of plugins that are no longer supported. Older, unsupported plugins that have not been updated by the plugin author to be compatible with the most recent version of WordPress could make your website insecure.
  • Browser Compatibility Testing
    • Ensuring all aspects of your website or web application are functioning properly in the most commonly-used browsers should be an ongoing part of your maintenance routine.
    • automated application testing
  • Cleaning and Optimizing Images and Speed
    • Keeping a clean website and images optimized will increase the speed of your website response.

Search Engine Optimization, SEO

Search Engine Optimization, SEO,  is defined as a process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's unpaid results—often referred to as "natural," "organic," or "earned" results.  Thompson's Web Service utilizes several methods to make you searchable: backlinks, google+, social media, SEO keywords, adwords, and much more.

The first thing to understand is that SEO is not a cost for your business but it is an investment (and probably one of the best investments you will ever made). The reason is that once you start practicing SEO the results will be visible both in the short term but also in the long term. You can SEO your website this month and start getting more traffic and that traffic will continue to grow for the next 12 months or more without having to do anything else.

SEO takes time and that is a known fact. I would say that it may take up to 6-7 months for an SEO campaign to generate optimum results.

Thompson's Web Service includes a free standard SEO setup within our website building prices, which will obtain you results and put your presence in the online community.  Most companies charge anywhere from $100 up to $5000 per month.  Thompson's Web Service realizes that small businesses are on a budget therefore offering 3 packages for SEO.  Thompson's Web Service's goal is to make websites affordable to all companies, not just the large ones.
